The lean, mean fighting machine Schwarzenegger meets the lean, green exciting Audi E-Tron

without comments

With California currently being the epicentre of environmentalism and the green car movement, Schwarzenegger takes a closer look at the Audi’s new battery powered Zero emission super car.

As a concept car that prides itself on working from four electronic motors and a lithium battery pack, it’s not surprising that the Californian governator was one of the first people to sit in the E-Tron with his action-packed background as the Terminator. Forgetting his over-powering size and squishing this into the compact Audi as opposed to a Hummer is one amusing fact, but realistically you would be more inclined to see this in an Audi dealer in west Sussex than see Schwarzenegger driving it.

Beyond its powerful electronic engine system, the striking visual design of the E-ton affirms its spot among the major leagues of sports cars. The e-tron runs to 62mph and takes 4.8 seconds, but rolling acceleration from 37-75 mph takes an impressive 4.1 seconds thanks to the e-tron’s massive amount of twist…. very oh la la!

Bat of out hell

Free Mini Car Toy With McDonalds Happy Meal

without comments

The funniest images i think i have ever seen was the attempt a manufacturer made to build a Smart Car look-a-like.  The car is very pettit with 2 doors, but they have almost tried to cram ever inch of detail from the bigger models into the smaller ones making it look vaguely from a distance like it belongs in a McDonald’s happy meal. I wonder how you would shrink an already small hatch Suzuki? Kent A and B roads would be grateful for this minimalistic size but their 6ft tall tennants would not.

Skoda a.ka. The Police Grandaddy

with one comment

I used to look at the police and recognise the Vauxhall Astra in a heartbeat- over the years the police car of choice has become the Skoda. Despite how much i like the Fabia Hatchback i cannot get the police image out of my head whenever i see a Skoda. Police are extremely intimidating and the Skoda has picked up on the scent. The image of the car portrays an old ‘sergeant type’ to me, with the grill looking like their moustache and aged judgement eyes that would really stare at you through the rear-view mirror, It’s a very intimidating car. Some police cars we have are quite the opposite, what with the London Metroploitan police owning a Lamborghini and the city smart cars. The Skoda is the granddad of the lot. The police must of been presented with some  very alluring Skoda offers, Dorset police drive nothing but these cars so i know they are some menacing meat.

Vintage Ford Wedding Car

without comments

Isn’t this the cutest little classic and vintage wedding car? It’s a 1928 Ford – a true vintage. It really is a real head-turner finished in silver on gun-metal black. My friend has just hired it for her wedding day and i really want one for mine. It suits the traditional fairytale wedding. This car is a popular Ford in Scotland amongst many Scottish families at weddings.

The Model A Ford is perhaps the most popular antique automobile in the world. Approximately 5 million Model A Ford cars and trucks were produced and many are being restored today.

Hot Rod Cars

without comments

I had always wondered why there was a surge of ‘flamed’ hot cars!  It goes without saying that the design is an obvious crowd pleaser and is incredibly eye catching when comparing it to a Skoda Octavia in Aberdeen but what is/was this craze?

The original hot rods i learnt are typically American cars with large modified engines for speed. (Hence the flames) Apparently the origination of the term ‘hot rod’ is unclear but one explanation is that the term is a contradiction of ‘hot roadster’. Roadsters were light and easy to modify and the term hot rod could of come from the connecting rods, cam or pushrods inside the engine that often got burnt out which was a common failure for souped-up four-cylinder Fords, but i just don’t know? Can anyone help me with this? Why Hot rods and why the flames?

What solves the problem of accidents?

with one comment

couldnt of said it better myself!

Found this post somebody had sketched up on a random tour of ‘Volvo’s do the funniest things’ and i loved its honesty. I don’t really understand its purpose but it is so funny. Whether you are a lover of the s80 or the Volvo XC90. Maidstone will sure be heaving with them. It’s the nearest town to me anyway and is full of bad drivers. I’m not blaming the Volvo’s – but I’ve been assured it’s not all of the drivers too… hmm?

Future Cars of Tomorrow

without comments

Got to give some props out to the PsiPunk site, it showcases futuristic concepts from giant luxury yachts to flying cars and other epic ideas.

vauxhall-astra-future

Things like this excite me, they make me want to sit down and design things for the future, ive always loved drawing and most of my stuff would be geared towards a sci-fi future of high rise buildings, floating sidewalks and hover cars. I cant see the next new astra from Vauxhall to be as spaceage as the name portrays, but heres hoping someone starts thinking along those lines.

Though I can only find this little concept creature lurking for Vauxhall’s future flying cars
