Multiplay iSeries – Better toilets and showers than last year?

without comments

Not sure if any of you are on the Multiplay forums, or have attended their lans?

I am still in two minds as to whether or not to bother again this year, I used to go year after year but since they moved out of Newbury and up to Coventry it’s not been the same.  Too many xbox gamers with their Rockband setups and other strange 360 accessories cluttering up the places! Not enough air flow, it was very good to see so many computers / gamers in one large room, but im sure the place was generating its own weather system due to the pockets of heat, oh and did I mention the lapse security and theft of all the gaming headsets and other hardware that occured.

I wonder what it’s gonna be like this year. Or if I should even go?

Although being a brand new venue last year it was exciting to have to explore the massive grounds to find a shower that no one else knew about, i dont have much hope for this year however.  I miss Newbury.

Monday morning car dealers

without comments

Monday morning, start of the week and I’m busy trying to figure out what work I have got in for myself this week, whilst trying to get it all done at the same time. Argh.. being pulled into a meeting as I write this!

Car dealerships to work on this week:

Hodgson Of Newcastle

Newcastle Used and New Car Dealer – Visit Site

Hodgson of Newcastle, (based in the North East) specialise in four main franchises, Toyota, Suzuki, Mazda and Mitsubishi. Accessories for sale direct from the dealer, not something you’d see from every dealer but nice to see them supporting a modifying approach to peoples cars. A good place for any disabled customers looking for a car with their Motability Scheme. My girlfriends dad actually uses the motability scheme and it is a really great benefit to the family.

For scrappage offers, servicing or looking for new or used cars in Newcastle, check out Hodgsons.

Toll House Group

Toyota and Suzuki Main Dealer – Visit Site

This car dealer is a 20 year veteran as an official Toyota group, but also speicalise in new and used Suzuki and Kia, as well as many aftersales services. If that wasn’t enough they have an online shop especially for Toyota parts and accessories, with free delivery on items bought online, always a bonus when ordering anything.

If you’re in the market for any of these things, are looking for servicing in the Kent or Sussex area try Toll House Group.

Scrappage scheme in full effect

without comments

Well its judgement day for your old car, 18th of May. It looks as if thousands of used car dealers, hopefully all of the dealers around the UK have taken on board the scrappage scheme.

Scrappage Plus New Cars

We manage a lot of car dealerships in the UK, both used car specialists and new car dealers, our biggest clients are promoting the scheme all over their websites. We’ve a Kent and Sussex dealer who specialises in a massive range of franchises, such as Audi, Volkswagen, Vauxhall and Ford, they have rolled out a ‘Scrappage Plus’ scheme to offer the scrappage discounts in conjunction with other discounts to give super huge savings!

Take a look at the Caffyns website for their Scrappage Plus offers.

As a key feature to their business strategy, hopefully this move will give a good turn around and may point the industry in the right direction. It really wouldn’t be so great to see drastic measures like what the US Government have planned (to cut 1100 dealerships out of the equation) and with offer strategies for new cars from Caffyns hopefully our dealers will prevail.

Who doesnt love a good zombie game?

Zombie Apocalypse

Zombie Apocalypse

There I was minding my own business, finishing up my second coffee for the day, (recovery juice for being ill all week, cant beat it) a certain article caught my eye on twitter, which lead me to the article over on IGN, the link is below if you want to read it yourself.

It’s as if all my zombie dreams are coming true! First Left4Dead, undeniably one of the greatest, co-op xbox zombie games, now ive seen a new, soon to be great, zombie game, which looks to have a different play style to the zombie shooter genre, looks like it could be a keeper! Could that sentence be any longer!

Zombie Apocalypse looks set to come out on the PS3 and the Xbox360, and fortunately it isnt an FPS (first person shooter)! Coming from a PC gaming background ive never felt comfortable trying to aim on any console without some kind of bizzare gaming accessories which are ‘especially designed for xbox gamers’ or the uber elite, whats wrong with just a mouse?

Id love to get my hands on a copy of this, even if it is just a demo. Sorta reminds me of L4D but from a totally different view, and rather than trying to escape the horde, more like kill as many of the damn things as you can! A mashup between Dead Rising and L4D? Either way, let me at it!

I look forward to smooshing some zombies with some of you, in the not so distant futureverse.

Name: Zombie Apocalypse
Release Date: 30 Sept 2009

1-4 player, 2- 4 player Co-Op, 1-4 Online Multiplay

It has a MASSIVE KILL COUNTER! It has to be good, surely?

Duke Nukem Forever – Gone Bust

with one comment

Duke Nukem Never

Looks like all those promises they made that the Duke was acutally coming are going to be borken.

Ive litterally just seen on BBC news that 3D Realms has gone bust, but there is a quote on the bbc report that states

“Development of the Duke Nukem Trilogy is continuing as planned and further announcements about upcoming games will be made in the near future”

This has to be one of the longest awaited games ever, purely because they seem to be developing 1% of the game per year. A game that has been in development for over 12 years now, you’d think we’d have a demo at least to have a bash at, hell It might of even saved them from the credit snip.

The original game, one of the first PC games I was ever introduced to has classic, very distinguishable memorable bunch of phrases.

So I leave you with a slect choice of

“It’s time to kick ass and chew bubble gum… and im all outta gum.”

Rent a car – you’ll be richer.

without comments

Im wondering just how cost effective it is to buy a car in these economic conditions. Sure you are earning well at the moment, your company isnt effected by the recession and you’ve money to splash about.

But is that car really going to be worth what you pay for it, or anywhere near it as soon as you drive out of out the show room?

The recession might not be biting down hard on your industry but for the automotive industry its nail biting. Car value is dropping faster than a concrete pigeon, dealers offering up to 10k off of selected models, TEN  THOUSAND OFF, if that’s how much they’re taking from their own prices imagine what the book value will be in a year or two.

So what’s the answer?

Tell us, Tell us, I hear you screaming at me through your computer screen. I will tell you, the answer might be Personal Lease Hire

Contract hire has been popular amongst businesses for years, but companies are opening up more deals to everyday people, just like us – for personal car leasing.

What does this mean to you?

You don’t need that huge lump of cash from the bank to buy a car out right.

Opportunity to have maintenance contracts within the monthly rental cost – to help manage your budgeting and convenience.
Pretty new car, for small monthly cost and no commitment!

Some dealerships will allow you to either buy something like this lease car at the end of your contract, or trade it in for an upgrade.

Just like a contract phone really!
